I hate writing. I like to draw pictures. I have been obsessed with comics for as long as I can remember. A turning point in my life was when I was seven and I stole my brother’s copy of 2000AD (I wasn’t allowed to read it). I love 1950′s horror comics. I love Throbbing Gristle (the band). I love the look and feel of the hand drawn and handmade. I don’t like losing control over my work. I hand print all my work myself. I love screen printing, sometimes I hate screen printing. I wish I had more patience with my work. I get bored easily. I used to studio manage a traditional print studio. Being exposed to the effects of such a variety of different print disciplines really helped shape my work. I want to experiment more with etching and woodcut. I love the level of detail in the work of Albrecht Durer and the way he’s able to tell a story with one picture. I try to do this with my illustration. I wish I had learned to play guitar. If I ever have children I will make them learn an instrument. I don’t want children. My favourite film is Robocop. My favourite author is Graham Greene.
