The More I Learn, The Less I Know...
You don't know what you don't know. And you don't realise that until you put yourself in situations that are new and exciting but very much out of your comfort zone. Here is my latest adventure

Just as you think you have everything figured out something comes along and puts you in your place and reminds you, you know nothing.
When I embarked upon Project-O I didn't even realise that is where my future would head. I wanted to learn to massage. I wanted to explore the nuances of pleasuring, at first my partner but by the end of that first massage I wanted help everyone.
I was a good sports masseuse and had received good feedback. Then I met Colin. After 12 years of reading the newsletter I took the plunge and booked the Foundation Course. That first massage was an assault on the senses. This was the first time in this context that I was humbled. I thought I knew how to do a massage until I was shown that I had a lot to learn at least in the sensual sense of massage and I was hooked. I want to be the masseuse I can be!
That journey then started with the question - HOW DO I START A SENSUAL MASSAGE BUSINESS?
I have owned a couple of businesses for 16years and 5 years respectively. I have run a couple of social media channels and I have some experience of sales and marketing. The only problem with all that is I don't have any experience of dealing with peoples short sightedness, narrow mindedness and uneducated opinions of what sensual massage is and its benefits.
Where do you begin. Well I tried Instagram and that bombed. Apparently a massage business for sensual purposes doesn't conform to their community guidelines and therefore it was deactivated. Google Ads sees it as solicitation which is also wide of the mark but a sign that this business wasn't going to be as easy as "If you build it, They will Cum".
Now as with most things in life, at least from my experience as one door closes another for sure opens. In this case as general social media wasn't going to be good for my brand of massage Fetlife was introduced to me. I had heard about it from a dominatrix my partner and I met at a festival but I thought at the time it was a bit to hardcore for me. She was beating guys in a Nazi SS uniform earning £1400/hour. That was an eye opening conversation for sure and one that left me feeling that Fetlife was just a bit to kinky for me. Fast forward 12 months and I finally gave it a proper go. I set up an account, added my Project-O profile and started exploring.
First I checked out the suggested feeds and recommended profiles that I should follow. You have probably had a spanked bum, maybe even been restrained a little. All very normal things to experiment with. Yet as I searched and my autofill function started showing me the different categories and sub categories of this new kinky world it was clear that I havn't even touched the surface of what people are into.
I could feel myself tumbling down Alices well. I needed to refocus. I was here to find a way to build my business so I decided to look at the events near me section. Little did I know I was about to find the Munch. For those of you well versed in The Munch you will know this is social opportunity to meet like minded people and have a cuppa or a beer and chat. I didn't have a clue what these were. My partner and I were braced for Ropes, whips, lots of leather and cages everywhere. Instead we walked into a pub with a Bon Jovi Tribute band on in the front, a mobile pizza van providing the fuel and a group of very normal looking people enjoying a beer together.
Once the intros were done the conversation traversed through all sorts of topics. From Kink festivals in Birmingham to the LAM, a marketplace in London where you can buy anything you want for your fetish and things you didn't even know you needed. I got introduced to Hypnotic Erotica and a plethora of stories of treading cages, the dating dilemma and the ineffectiveness of grinder. Being stood up on 3 different occasions by 3 different people and how a chat room conversation led to a FetLife account that led to a Munch in Bournemouth that actually was the scenario I thought we were going to walk in on all in 3 hours.
Needless to say this was an all out attack on the senses. The imagination was very much pushed to the limit and beyond yet we both walked away with a smile on our faces. We had met some lovely people, enjoyed a date night which hasn't happened for a while and felt welcomed and comfortable the whole evening.
If you are toying with how to get into the alternative lifestyle and need a starting place I would recommend getting along to your local munch. Or maybe the one in the next town if you want some more discretion. Either way enjoy the adventure and be safe.
